Football Recap: 10-15-21

The Carbondale Area Chargers picked up their fourth win of the season with a road win over the Riverside Vikings 42-34. The running backs led the team in the victory. Davon Reams scored four of the Chargers’ six touchdowns with 178 yards on 16 carries (11.1 yards per carry). Vincent DePalma crossed the 1000 yard plateau on the season with 219 rushing yards on 18 carries (12.2 yards per carry) and scored the other two touchdowns. His touchdown runs were both over 50 yards apiece. The Chargers were perfect on extra point attempts in Colin Bailer’s second game kicking for the team.

The Chargers improve to 4-4 on the season and are at Montrose next week to take on the Meteors. If they win out, they will finish the season with a winning record, their first time since 2017.

A special congratulations goes out to Vincent and his offensive line for this milestone. Job well done boys!
