Carbondale Area Girls Track & Field took 1st place in three of their four events at the Ice Breaker Relays held at Wallenpaupack this past Saturday:

1st place: 4000m Distance Medley – Rachel Korty, Madeline Borders, Laura Nebzydoski, Kate Korty (13:16.42)

 

1st place: 3200m Distance Medley – Rachel Korty, Madeline Borders, Alyssa Cosklo, Kate Korty (8:50.29)

 

1st place: 3200m relay – Rachel Korty, Madeline Borders, Laura Nebzydoski, Kate Korty (10:34.64)

 

6th place: 1600m relay: Rachel Korty, Kate Korty, Alyssa Cosklo, Madeline Borders (4:40.35)

 

The Girls finished tied for 7th as a team despite only only competing in 4 events.

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late.
