Varsity Softball Recap_4.21.22


CA Varsity Softball grabbed a lead in the 7th inning to defeat Scranton, 8-5.

With the game tied at 5 with CA up to bat in the top of the seventh inning,  Ellie Higdon doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Higdon collected four hits in four at bats to help lead the team to victory. Higdon singled in the first, singled in the third, and doubled in both the sixth and seventh innings.

CA Softball saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Higdon, Calzola and Kelsch all hit doubles. Heenan, Borosky, Escott, and Cobb all contributed singles to the game win.

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late.
