Uniform Closet
Uniforms request forms are available in the main office. If you need a uniform, please pick up a request form and return it to the office.
Uniform requests are fulfilled every Tuesday. If you are looking for a specific item, please reach out to Vice President Victoria Angotti by e-mail ptacloset@carbondalearea.org.
Upcoming Events:
Meetings are the second Thursday of the month at 6pm in the Elementary Parent Engagement Center as well as on Zoom. Please follow our social media pages for that month’s Zoom link.
Reminders:
· You must renew your PTA membership each school year. The cost is $7 for a single membership and $12 for a dual membership.
o Sign up online: caespta1.givebacks.com/shop
· Clearances are required to volunteer at any PTA event. You must submit your clearances to the elementary office so they can be verified before volunteering. Once you receive your clearances, they are valid for 5 years.
o Here is the information for the clearances needed: 1. Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check https://epatch.pa.gov/home
2. Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home
3. FBI Clearance (valid for 5 years)
TIPS:
Choose Volunteer and Carbondale Area Elementary PTA to receive these clearances for free. This is available once every 5 years.
It is recommended to use a laptop or desktop for the child abuse clearance.
FBI Clearance:
If you have lived in PA for 10 years consecutively, you can go right to Northeast Title and Tag to have the “Disclosure Statatement Application for Volunteers” form notarized. They will print and notarize the form for $5. Form is required by the Child Protective Services Law 23 Pa C.S. Section 6344.2 relating to volunteers having contact with children.
If you have NOT lived in PTA for 10 years consecutively, then you will need to have fingerprints done. You can schedule an appointment with the center in Atchbald through the Identogo site here: https://www.identogo.com/locations/pennsylvania
