Science and Technology Club Participates in STEM Day
10th grade students in the Science and Technology Club participated in STEM Day at Wilkes University on Friday March 22, 2024. Students participated in a variety of hands-on lab activities prepared by University staff and students. Lessons included chemistry, engineering, computer science, mathematics, and earth science. While on campus, CA students interacted with Wilkes students to get a better understanding of each particular major and college life.
Weathering and erosion was demonstrated through the use of a water table with Earth Science professors. Students were able to observe the way the path of water impacts land structures and ultimately impacts the community.
Testing of the bridge with Wilkes Engineering Professor. This bridge held the most weight of over 1500 kg.
