On November 14, nine Carbondale Area Seniors visited NEIU19 for National Apprenticeship Day. The students learned all about apprenticeships and listened to a panel of industry experts in the following trades: Building and Construction, Carpentry, Welding, and Pipefitter/Plumber. These experts explained what an apprenticeship is, what the application process is like, what it is like working in their trades, and the benefits of unions.
