Our next Senior Spotlight is Drama Club member Hunter “Chowda” Long. Hunter is the son of Lyndsay and Samuel Long and the grandson of Nancy and Samuel Scalese. He has one brother, Connor Long, a member of the CA Class of 2022. Hunter played Auvrum in last year’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. He will be a member of the tech crew in the spring production of Little Shop of Horrors. He is also a member of the Honor Roll.
In addition to being a member of the Drama Club, Hunter helped to start CA’s Board Game Club. He is also a member of the Computer Club and helped assist with teacher classroom setup this past summer as a member of the Future Teachers Club. He was also an intern for Ginger Rootz Media through tecBRIDGE. Hunter also enjoys screenplay writing, filmmaking, photography, songwriting, and creating media like cassette tapes or CDs.
Hunter’s favorite CA memory is presenting Fiddle on the Roof during his junior year. His favorite class is “Introduction to Theatre Arts” with Mrs. Rasmus. He plans to attend Marywood University next fall to major in Multimedia Communications with the hope of one day becoming a director or screenwriter for A24, a film company. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Hunter on his achievements thus far and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
